Euclid is my hero.

This pretty extension of ‘Angles in the Same Segment’, makes equal lengths out of equal angles.

A fundamental school maths fact, and timeless piece of human knowledge, was written into text books 2300 years ago, proved by properties of parallel lines and is illustrated here by triangle sliding.

Area chopping and translation are part of Euclid’s world and illustrate this school result;  spose it should have come before last post.

There is no reason to think that it could actually work at scales of distance larger than the class room though ….
